Main tasks
As part of the “R-LIVER” registry of the European Reference Network for Rare Liver Diseases (ERN RARE-LIVER; https://rare-liver.eu), we are seeking support in the area of data analysis and management. The registry’s goal is to collect, harmonize, and evaluate clinical data from international centers and make it available for research and quality control in healthcare. Data from currently over 50 international centers is recorded online in Castor EDC.
The position is situated within the field of medical informatics and clinical research and serves as an interface between physicians, data managers, and international project partners. Some remote work/working from home is possible. The position is part-time for an initial project duration of three years.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of data storage, visualization, and analysis
- Preparation and analysis of clinical registry data (Python, particularly pandas)
- Conducting data quality checks and plausibility analyses
- Structuring and harmonizing data from various international sources
- Supporting the development and maintenance of data structures and analysis logic
- Creation of analyses, reports, and visualizations
- Close collaboration with clinical partners
Your Profile
- A university degree or training in - computer science, bioinformatics, medical informatics, or a comparable quantitative field
- Strong proficiency in Python (especially pandas)
- Experience in data analysis and data engineering
- Structured thinking when working with data (e.g., understanding relationships, dependencies, and data logic)
- Meticulous and independent work style
- Good English skills
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with clinical data or registries
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis
